Full Professorship (W3) in „Infection, Inflammation and Cancer“ (Ref-No. 269/2017)

Applications are welcome from internationally renowned scientists to lead a unique and highly innovative research program elucidating fundamental aspects in cancer development in the context of infections or chronic inflammation.

The professorship is embedded as new research division into the research progam “Infection, Inflammation & Cancer” of the DKFZ (https://www.dkfz.de/en/forschung/schwerpunkte/fsp-f.php). By using mechanistic, immunological and epidemiological approaches, this research program aims at the understanding of the link between infection or inflammation and cancer and translating obtained results into prophylactic and therapeutic strategies. The candidate should be highly motivated to contribute to existing research networks or establish new collaborations.

The DKFZ is home to more than 100 independent research units and thereby constitutes the largest biomedical research institution in Germany.
